Annual Knysna Literary Festival takes flight 18 - 22 March 2015

KNYSNA (March 13, 2015) – Presented by Pam Golding Properties Knysna, the 6th annual Knysna Literary Festival takes place 18-22 March, 2015. A five-day-long unique literary experience, the Knysna Literary Festival offers attendees a diverse programme that includes small-group workshops, larger-group presentations, informal chats with authors and the opportunity to experience some of Knysna’s most exclusive private properties with a dash of cuisine.

Tickets for some of this year's program highlights like Zapiro, the Delicious Word Journey, PJ Powers, Shani Krebs, creativity workshops with Graeme Butchart, the popular "Fate of the Nation" political panel discussion, and both the Lilliput Players and Hare Manje performances for children at Knysna Primary School are already sold out. 20 March: "Opposite Mandela" with Tony Leon Conrad Pezula Resort and Spa: 09h00 - 10h00 (R100 pp) Tony Leon's unique insight into an unexplored aspect of the presidency and leadership of Nelson Mandela, “Opposite Mandela” tells the untold stories of how South Africa's first democratic president related to his political opponents.

20 March: "Behind the Door" with Mandy Wiener Conrad Pezula Resort and Spa: 14h00 - 15h00 (R100 pp) Investigative journalist Mandy Wiener’s vivid and gripping latest book “Behind the Door,” co-authored with Barry Bateman, is the most authoritative and insightful account of what really happened to Reeva Steenkamp behind closed doors that fateful Valentine's morning.

21 March: "Mingle with award-winning authors" Turbine Boutique Hotel and Spa: 09h00 - 10h00 (R100 pp) Eugene Ashton, Jonathan Ball MD, chats to award winning novelist Jo-Anne Richards about her book, "The Imagined Child."

22 March: Battle of Spioenkop - Simon Blackburn Conrad Pezula Resort and Spa: 09h00 - 10h00 (R100 pp) Listen as history comes alive when historian Simon Blackburn recounts what has been labelled as the worst single day for the British of the entire Anglo Boer War during the Battle of Spioenkop on 24th January, 1900.
